Tutor Time |
One to one mentoring, Reading time, new tutorial package, Show my Homework (SMH), Year assemblies and visiting speakers. |
Teaching |
Cooperative Learning, Teaching and Learning communities, eZone, Teacher training links with other schools, new heads of Departments in Key subjects and teacher support programmes. |
Behaviour |
One to one mentoring, Isolation room, restorative justice, large anti bullying programme, strong student leadership, consistent praise rewards and sanctions across the school, introduction of Behaviour Watch support system, behaviour support workers and clear and defined expectations of behaviour to enhance learning and progress. |
Attendance |
Our aim is to achieve overall 95% attendance for all students and to focus especially on narrowing the gap between attendance for disadvantaged and non disadvanted students. |
Marking |
Pink is Think, student reflection on work, reviewed marking policy, book monitoring and class and individual feedback. |
Parent Communication |
Parents’ forum via Parents Focus Group, Parents’ - Understanding School newsletter, parent mail, website updated regularly, parent governors and parents evenings. |
